Career
Erichsen made her debut as a model in 2005 at the fall Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Miu Miu shows in Milan and Paris, where she opened for the latter. Since, she has appeared in ad campaigns for brands such as Balenciaga, Jil Sander, Gucci, Hugo Boss, H&M, CK by Calvin Klein, Hermès, Chanel, and Chloé. She has appeared in editorials for Vogue Italia, British Vogue, Interview Magazine, and on the covers of Vogue China, Vogue Nippon (Japan), V Magazine, W Magazine and Harper's Bazaar.[2] In addition to her work, she has also opened runway shows for multiple fashion designers including Christian Lacroix, Zac Posen, and Balenciaga. At the Sonia Rykiel F/W 07 show, she high fived Canada's Coco Rocha whilst walking on the runway.

Personal life
Erichsen was educated at Frederiksberg Gymnasium.[3] She was discovered on the streets of her native Denmark by a modeling agent passing by in a taxi.[4]
Her favorite musicians are PJ Harvey, and the Danish group Kira and the Kindred Spirits.[5] Erichsen notably has 12 tattoos, the first of which she got at age 16, including various script, a revolver, and the word "float" on the side of her neck. She has said that her tattoos do not affect her work and are easily concealed, having made a deal with her agent, she can have "as many tattoos as she wants" as long as she doesn't cut her hair. [6]
