While some girls put their education on hold in order to follow their dreams of modeling, Anja Rubik did quite the opposite.

“I believe modeling is a combination of natural talent, the ability to adapt to different situations, hard work, and, most importantly, luck.” Askmen.com

While some girls put their education on hold in order to follow their dreams of modeling, Anja Rubik did quite the opposite. Anja knew she wanted to become a runway star, but she decided to only work on holidays and weekends until she finished her high school education.
Anja was born in Poland on June 12, 1985, but she spent much of her life traveling, as she can check off Greece, Canada, and South Africa as places she called home during her childhood. Once she began modeling, her travels continued, though she set up roots in New York City in 2002.
Since she began, Anja has graced the covers of Vogue Deutsch, Vogue Paris, Numéro, Flair, Nylon, and Elle. But it doesn't stop there. The blonde beauty has worked for designers such as Chloé, Gucci, Fendi, Versace, Missoni, Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren, Prada, Valentino, and Chanel to name a few.

In between the countless runways she walks and campaigns she fronts, Anja finds time to scuba dive and continue her lifelong love of traveling—which was obviously ingrained in her at a young age.

Rubik lived in Greece, Canada, and South Africa as a child, and was introduced to modeling while attending a British high school in Paris. She wanted to finish her schooling before officially becoming a model, and so only worked on school holidays.
